Tourism Benefits
With art aficionados coming in from different countries, relationships among countries can be further built on. Not only will that, the interaction between performers and audiences also leads to the same effect. Because of the links between performers and their managers and between managers and the organization in charge of the art festival, it would be easier to ask the performers to perform again the next time. With the festival, Singapore would be more known and people might actually want to know more about Singapore; if not, then they would know the artistic side of Singapore. Moreover, famous performers from all over the world actually serve as additional attractions that would bring in more tourists. Also, the benefit of this festival will allow not only Singaporeans, but anyone that has taken part in the festival to have a deeper understanding of what art is all about. For those that do not have a chance to go overseas to see these performances, it would be a great chance for them to get a feel of what it is like to be a part of the event. Government revenue will be one of the benefits too. No doubt that there is much revenue and sponsorship involved for this festival. I personally think that there will be some revenue gained no matter what. Firstly, visitors coming in to watch various events would most probably have to pay for tickets. There are some events that are free, but there are very few of those events in the first place. Also, regarding the international cohesion that I was mentioning earlier, companies from other countries might take this as a potential investment, thus providing Singapore with more revenue in the long run. |
